Recognition of the internship

- Subject to faculty decision (presumably starting summer semester 2025) -

Below you will find information on the procedure for the recognition of the industrial internship for the SES programme.

  • The internship documents (application for recognition, internship certificate, internship report) must be submitted to the Internship Office no later than 6 months after completion of the internship. The documents must be submitted by e-mail.
  • On the basis of the documents submitted, the Internship Office will check whether and to what extent the practical activity can be recognised as practical vocational training within the meaning of the Internship Directive. The processing time of the Internship Office is usually approx. 2 weeks for complete documents. As there is usually a high volume of internship reports submitted at the beginning of each semester, the processing time in the months of April and October can sometimes be significantly longer. Please be patient with this.
  • As soon as the documents have been processed, students will be notified by e-mail. If there are any deficiencies, students will be asked to rectify them and a new examination will be carried out. In the event of recognition, students will receive a certificate of the type and scope of recognition by e-mail.
  • The Internship Office will automatically notify the Examination Office of the successful completion of the industrial internship.
