Application and enrollment

Enrolment for our Bachelor's degree courses is possible via ONLINE enrolment (for degree courses with open admissions) at TU Dortmund University from the end of June until the start of the semester. You will also find a brief summary of the most important information and a brief overview of the relevant dates and deadlines on the pages of the Registrar's Office.
If you have any questions, please contact our Dean's Office directly.

The first point of contact for international students is the International Office (formerly AAA) at TU Dortmund University. In addition to general information for international students, you will of course also find information on admission requirements and the application for admission to studies for international students.

Upon enrolment/re-registration, all students purchase a semester ticket with a portion of the semester fees, which they can use to travel throughout the Rhine-Ruhr Transport Association (VRR) for one semester. The semester ticket is the student ID card in combination with an official photo ID. You can find out where you can travel with your semester ticket and which means of transport you can use on the AStA website. If you lose your semester ticket, you can have a temporary certificate issued by the AStA, which will also allow you to travel on VRR - provided you also have a certificate of enrolment and a photo ID.
